<p><strong>Behaviour Teaching Assistant (Drama / Creative Media Background)</strong><strong>Islington</strong><strong>£117-£120 per day Full-Time Term-Time Only Long-Term</strong></p><p>In the right environment, creativity can change everything.</p><p>We are working closely with a school where students express themselves through <strong>drama, film, digital media, and performance</strong> but sometimes, when emotions are harder to process, that expression comes out as behaviour.</p><p>we are working with a forward-thinking secondary school in <strong>Islington</strong> looking for a full-time Behaviour Teaching Assistant with a background in <strong>Drama or Creative Media</strong>. Someone who understands expression, presence, and emotional awareness and can use those skills to support students who need it most.</p><p>This role would suit someone who is naturally calm, emotionally intelligent, and consistent, someone who can read a room, build trust, and help students regulate and re-engage.</p><strong>What the role involves:</strong><ul><li>Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups who experience behavioural or emotional challenges</li><li>Using <strong>drama, performance, or creative media</strong> as tools for expression and engagement</li><li>Acting as a calm, grounded presence during moments of heightened emotion</li><li>Helping students reflect, reset, and return to learning</li><li>Supporting lessons, workshops, and creative activities across the school</li><li>Working closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and teaching staff</li><li>Encouraging confidence, self-expression, and positive decision-making</li><li>Recognising progress, even the small wins that matter most</li></ul><strong>This role would suit someone who:</strong><ul><li>Has a background in <strong>Drama, Performing Arts, or Creative Media</strong> (film, photography, content creation, etc.)</li><li>Stays calm under pressure and understands that behaviour is often communication</li><li>Has experience in youth work, mentoring, SEN, SEMH or similar settings (helpful, not essential)</li><li>Can build strong relationships while maintaining clear boundaries</li><li>Brings energy, creativity and emotional awareness into their work</li><li>Wants to make a genuine, lasting difference in a school setting</li></ul><p>This isn't a role about control, it's about <strong>connection, consistency, and creativity</strong>.
