<p>Not every sales role is about chasing cold leads.</p><p>Some are about <strong>understanding your customers, supporting their applications, and helping them get the best out of the technology they already rely on.</strong></p><p>This role sits firmly in that space.</p><p>We are looking for an <strong>Account Manager</strong> to join a well-established manufacturer of industrial motor control and variable speed drive technology. Their products are used globally across manufacturing, automation, energy efficiency and industrial equipment.</p><p>If you currently work within <strong>industrial automation, electrical engineering, motion control, motors, PLC systems or similar technical sectors</strong>, this could be a strong fit.</p><p>You <strong>do not need to be a drives specialist</strong>, but you should be comfortable working with technical products and speaking with engineers and technically minded customers.</p><p>The role will focus mainly on <strong>managing and developing existing customer accounts</strong>, supporting distributors and industrial customers, while identifying opportunities to grow revenue across the product range.</p><p>The position is <strong>office-based in Welshpool</strong>, with customer visits where required.</p><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong><p>Managing and developing relationships with existing customers and distribution partners</p><p>Supporting customers with technical and commercial discussions around motor control and drive solutions</p><p>Identifying opportunities to increase revenue within established accounts</p><p>Preparing quotations, proposals and commercial offers</p><p>Working closely with internal technical and product teams to support customer requirements</p><p>Visiting customers when required to support account development</p><p>Maintaining CRM records and producing regular sales updates</p><p>This role is less about aggressive new business and more about <strong>building long-term relationships with customers who already use the technology.</strong></p><strong>What Were Looking For</strong><p>Experience in an <strong>account management or technical sales role</strong></p><p>Background within <strong>industrial equipment, automation, electrical engineering or similar sectors</strong></p><p>Comfortable speaking with engineers and technically minded customers</p><p>Strong relationship building and commercial awareness</p><p>Organised and able to manage multiple customer accounts</p><p>Candidates may currently be working as:</p><p>Account Managers within industrial or technical sectors</p><p>Technical Sales Engineers</p><p>Internal Sales Engineers looking to become more customer-facing</p><p>Automation or electrical product specialists with commercial responsibilities</p><strong>The Opportunity</strong><p>This role would suit someone who enjoys the <strong>commercial side of engineering</strong>, but still wants to stay close to the technical detail and customer applications.</p><p>You will be joining a <strong>growing global manufacturer</strong> with strong engineering capability, established customers and long-term opportunities within the business.</p><p><strong>About Us</strong>:</p><p>At Thomas Lee Recruitment, we specialise in connecting engineers and technical salespeople with leading companies in the engineering sector.
