Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer £60,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits package Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead projects from initial stages right through to completion. This a fantastic opportunity to take hold of the whole design process and ownership. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be: * Leading design and development of mechanical systems and components. * Take designs from requirements capture through to production. * Produce clear, accurate CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications. * Mechanical analysis (structural, tolerance, etc.) Selecting appropriate materials and manufacturing processes. * Building and testing of prototypes. Skills and experience required for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar). * Strong experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment. * Confident using SolidWorks CAD to produce production-ready designs. * Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in plain terms.
