Pupil Support Worker Pilrig Park School Salary: £27,257 - £29,850 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional) Working hours for position are Monday-Thursday 08.30- 15.15 and Friday 08.30-12.00. Pilrig Park School is looking to appoint two highly motivated Pupil Support Workers to join our team. The successful candidates will have a passion, desire and commitment to working with young people with a range of additional support needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially. Experience of working with individuals with additional support needs and of working in a school/education setting would be desirable. This is a dynamic role requiring flexibility in approach and the ability to actively support learners across our school curriculum. The school provides education for secondary-aged learners with complex long-term additional support needs. A key strength of the school is our multi-agency approach to supporting our learners, and school staff work closely with Educational Psychologists, the CAMHS Learning Disability Team, Allied Health Professionals and third-sector partners in order to meet the needs of all learners. We also have an active Parent Council who support us with our work. This vision is shared with our families and community and very much part of our everyday practice. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
