Customer Service & Export Team Lead

<p><p> An established international manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Export & Customer Service professional to lead a small team and manage complex global export operations. </p><p> This is a hands-on role where technical export knowledge is absolutely critical. You'll oversee worldwide shipments, customs compliance, export documentation, logistics coordination and customer service operations while supporting continuous improvement across the department. </p><p> The business exports globally and requires someone confident dealing with international shipping regulations, VAT compliance, Incoterms and freight movements across air, road and sea. </p><p> You'll also supervise a small team, support operational improvements and work closely with finance, manufacturing and sales functions to ensure orders move efficiently from receipt through to delivery. </p><p></p> Key Responsibilities <p></p><ul><li> Lead and support a small Customer Service & Export team </li><li> Manage international customer orders and export processes </li><li> Ensure compliance with global export regulations, customs and VAT requirements </li><li> Coordinate shipments via air, road and sea freight </li><li> Manage export documentation and shipping paperwork </li><li> Liaise with freight providers, customs agents and internal departments </li><li> Monitor pricing, margins and shipping costs </li><li> Support audits and compliance activities </li><li> Drive continuous improvement and process efficiencies </li><li> Work closely with ERP/MRP systems and support system improvements </li></ul><p></p> Experience Required <p></p><ul><li> Strong experience within export coordination and international logistics </li><li> Knowledge of customs compliance, export documentation and VAT processes </li><li> Experience managing shipments globally </li><li> ERP/MRP systems experience (M3 highly advantageous)</li><li> Manufacturing background preferred </li><li> Strong IT and numerical skills </li><li> Leadership or supervisory experience </li><li> Excellent attention to detail and communication skills </li></ul><p></p> What's On Offer <p></p><ul><li> Stable and well-established business </li><li> Early finish every Friday </li><li> Strong team culture with no long-hours expectation </li><li> Opportunity to lead improvements and influence processes </li><li> Hybrid working available after training period </li></ul>
