<p><p><b> Assistant Manager (Facilities & Operational)</b></p><p><b> Queensferry Sports & Community Hub </b></p><p></p><p><b> South Queensferry </b></p><p></p><p><b> Full Time £32,000</b></p><p></p><p> Queensferry Sports and Community Hub is a SCIO Registered Charity and we are looking for an <b> Assistant Manager (Facilities & Operational)</b> to oversee the smooth operation and development of our multi-use Hub. </p><p></p><p> This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and use of our facilities. You’ll ensure safe, high-quality environments while driving participation through effective programming, supporting our charitable objectives, and maximising the positive impact of the Hub within the local community. </p><p></p><p><b> Key Responsibilities </b></p><p></p><p><b> Facilities & Operational Management </b></p><p>· Oversee the daily running of the building, front of house, gym, and sports facilities </p><p>· Manage bookings, hires, and lettings across all spaces </p><p>· Lead and support a small reception and facilities team </p><p>· Ensure all areas are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with health & safety regulations, facility operational procedures and risk assessments </p><p>· Coordinate maintenance schedules, repairs, and external contractors </p><p>· Ensure all spaces are prepared and ready for use, including for community and charitable activities </p><p></p><p><b> Utilisation & Programming </b></p><p>· Maximise usage of facilities by increasing bookings and participation </p><p>· Work closely with the Hospitality team to support joined-up service delivery </p><p>· Develop and coordinate programmes such as classes, clubs, and holiday activities </p><p>· Support initiatives targeting key community groups and charitable causes aligned with the Hub’s mission </p><p>· Work closely with the Charity Manager to plan, support, and deliver activities that strengthen community engagement, social impact, and participation across the Hub </p><p></p><p><b> Systems & Coordination </b></p><p>· Manage booking systems, scheduling, and facility usage </p><p>· Coordinate with hospitality to support events and activities </p><p>· Monitor usage data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and participation </p><p></p><p><b> About You </b></p><p></p><p><b> Essential Experience </b></p><p>· Experience in facilities, leisure, or operational management </p><p>· Experience coordinating bookings, activities, or programmes </p><p>· Experience managing health and safety in a public-facing environment </p><p></p><p><b> Knowledge & Skills </b></p><p>· Strong understanding of facilities management and maintenance processes </p><p>· Good knowledge and understanding of health & safety requirements </p><p>· Excellent organisational and planning skills </p><p>· Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to issues effectively </p><p>· Proactive mindset with a focus on improving utilisation and efficiency </p><p>· Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills </p><p>· Flexible approach to working hours including working evenings and weekends </p><p></p><p><b> Desirable </b></p><p>· Experience in sports, charity, or community programming </p><p>· Experience increasing participation and usage across facilities </p><p>· Experience supporting community engagement or charitable initiatives </p><p></p><p><b> About Us </b></p><p> </p><p> Queensferry Sports & Community Hub is a SCIO Registered Charity with a mission to improve lives through sport, community activity and inclusive local services.
