Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Driver with HIAB certification to join our generator & welding equipment business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and specialised lifting operations. Applicants must hold valid driving licences and have previous experience in delivery driving, particularly with flatbed loads.
Responsibilities
Operate HGV lorries equipped with HIAB crane to load and unload goods safely and accurately
Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines
Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle and lifting equipment, reporting any issues promptly
Secure loads using appropriate straps and safety measures to prevent movement during transit
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies at all times
Assist with loading and unloading when required, utilising your HIAB skills for precise handling of cargo
Skills
Valid HGV licence with HIAB certification recognised by relevant authorities
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver
Familiarity with flatbed transportation methods and securing diverse types of cargo
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
Strong organisational skills to manage schedules and routes efficiently
Good communication abilities for liaising with clients and team members
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and responsibly in accordance with health and safety standards
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
