Asa Warehouse ShiftManageryou will contribute to the success of the site by supporting theOperations Managerin the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuringall aspects of Health & Safety within the Warehouse are maintained and product is picked and dispatched to the highest standard in order to meet contractual KPIs. This is a full time, permanent role, working the hours of
4 on 4 off nights,18.00-06.00 Key Duties of a Warehouse Shift Manager: Manage and motivate the shift teamin order toensure that productivity and service KPIsare achievedor exceeded. Ensure the highest possible levels of health, safety and hygieneare upheldso that legislative and quality requirements can be complied with, ensuring relevant paperworkis completedand retained. Ensuring the highest levels of Quality and complianceare maintainedand that the site operates to the Audit standard required. Deliver communication briefings so that allshiftsare aware of all Company and local issues and employeesare able tooffer input / improvements and feel involved. Manage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receiptsare madequickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy orders. Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan. Carry outdisciplinary / grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedure. Monitor and control sickness absence levels in line with Company policy andcarry outreturn to work interviews effectively and efficiently. Monitor and control time and attendance system. To offer regular feedback, formal and informal, on team and individual performance, including behavioural issues and highlightinggood performanceand areas for further development. Man powerplanning, by ensuring the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers to efficiently and cost effectively run the shift. Enforce and adhere all Company policies and procedures. Monitor and control training for teams, ensuring the correct amount of health & safety representation on shift, i.e. First Aiders, Fire Marshallsetc. SupportManagementin any ad-hoc duties within the Warehouse function. Qualifications
Operational management experience within a FMCG warehouse environment Have a good working knowledge within a Warehouse and Logistics operation. Experience of Leading and Mentoring a large team Knowledge of warehouse health & safety legislation, including accident and incident investigation and root cause analysis Knowledge of consolidation and loading operations in FMCG Industry Previous experience of WMS systems with the ability to interrogate the information The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines. Good communication skills Good working knowledge of MS Office
