Hourly Rate: £12.71
Hours Per Week: 20 hours per week, specifically Monday and Thursday, including annual leave cover

ABOUT THE ROLE
I'm a 23 year old young man looking for a personal assistant to join my team and help me live my life the way I want. In 2020, I acquired a brain injury, which means I am fully immobile and need support with most aspects of daily living.
As my personal assistant, you'll help me:
With all personal care and mobility needs, including hoist transfers and positioning in my wheelchair or bed
Attend physiotherapy sessions and support my ongoing physical rehabilitation
Participate in social activities I enjoy, like football matches and trips to the pub
Engage in music, social media and time with friends and family
Stay comfortable, safe and supported, particularly during times of frustration or distress
You'll be part of a close-knit PA team and will work alongside my family to ensure my routines are followed and my independence is supported wherever possible. ABOUT YOU I am looking for PAs who are: Kind, patient and respectful of my independence
Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of my existing PA team
Comfortable supporting someone with complex physical and communication needs
Sociable and able to join me in normal social activities with people my own age
Able to anticipate my needs and stay calm during certain moments
Understanding of boundaries, treating me as an individual rather than just my disability
Able to follow guidance around respectful communication
Abe to drive (not essential)
Able to cover annual leave or sickness when needed to maintain continuity or support
Comfortable managing tasks on their own while following Toby's care plan
Full training will be provided, including hoist use, personal care, physiotherapy support, and communication methods. A DBS check and safeguarding training are required. BENEFITS In return for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to: 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
