Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Central London or Camberley, Hybrid Salary: 50,000 - 80,000 depending on experience Employment Type: PermanentStart: Immediately availableAn established consultancy working across the UK infrastructure and civil engineering market is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team.The business supports major contractors and infrastructure clients across a range of civil engineering projects, providing commercial and quantity surveying expertise throughout the project lifecycle. This is a excellent permanent opportunity suited to a Quantity Surveyor with a strong main contractor background particularly working on AMP8 contracts, who is looking to move into a consultancy environment while continuing to work closely with major contractors and complex infrastructure projects.The RoleDepending on your level of experience, responsibilities will include:Providing commercial and quantity surveying support across civil engineering projectsManaging costs, valuations, variations and change throughout the project lifecyclePreparing and reviewing applications for paymentSupporting cost forecasting, reporting and commercial performanceManaging subcontractor accounts and commercial documentationReviewing contractual requirements and identifying commercial risksSupporting the management of compensation events and changeWorking closely with clients, contractors and wider project teamsEnsuring projects are commercially managed in line with contractual requirementsWhat We're Looking ForPrevious Quantity Surveying experience within a main contractor environment is essentialStrong civil engineering or infrastructure project experienceExperience working with NEC contractsWater sector experience would be advantageous, although candidates from wider civil engineering backgrounds will be consideredExperience working with amended IChemE contracts would also be beneficialStrong commercial and contractual understandingAbility to communicate effectively with contractors, clients and project stakeholdersThe position operates on a hybrid basis, typically with three days per week in the office, with opportunities available from either Central London or Camberley.
