About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Scala Developer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering scalable, cloud-native applications and APIs. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring developers, and driving best practices across software delivery.

You will play a key role in leading the design and development of mission-critical Back End services, working closely with architects, product owners, and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development and delivery of scalable Back End applications using Scala
Architect and develop RESTful services and microservices using the Play Framework
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and CI/CD adoption
Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical solutions and delivery roadmaps
Participate in architectural decisions and technology strategy
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
Support agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives
