Forklift Driver & Warehouse Operative

Brightwork are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative and Forklift Truck Driver for our client in Glasgow. This position involves supporting day-to-day running of warehouse and multi-drop delivery operations.

This is a temporary role, initially for 3-4 weeks, with the view to move to permanent employment if successful. You will need a full UK Drivers Licence for this role with a maximum of 3 points.

Your Time at Work

Driving & Deliveries

• Drive the company vehicle safely and compliantly to deliver and collect goods across the local area and beyond as required
• Complete all relevant driver documentation including tachograph records, daily walk-round checks and defect reports
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, roadworthy and presentable at all times; report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly
• Liaise with customers professionally on delivery and collection, resolving any issues calmly and escalating where necessary
• Support route planning to maximise efficiency and minimise delays
• Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle, including use of pallet trucks and other manual handling equipment.
