Salary: £17.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef Manager to lead the kitchen team within a friendly care home environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing nutritious, high-quality meals while leading a team and maintaining excellent food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals to a high standard.
• Plan staff rotas and supervise the kitchen team.
• Manage stock levels, place food orders, and minimise waste.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, COSHH, and Health & Safety regulations.
• Complete all required kitchen documentation and audits.
• Maintain exceptional hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Train and support staff in food safety and allergen awareness.
• Create a welcoming dining experience for residents and visitors.

About You

• Previous experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef, ideally within a care home, healthcare, or hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
