This is a highly visible role where your coordination, organisation and problem‑solving skills will directly influence project outcomes that matter to national security and customer success.You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering and commercial teams, gaining hands‑on exposure to the full project lifecycle while building strong stakeholder relationships. It is an opportunity to grow your project management capability within a supportive, high‑performance environment and develop a career at the cutting edge of defence engineering.Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:Supporting planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management activities across production programmesCoordinating work packages and monitoring progress to ensure delivery against agreed plansWorking collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering and procurement teams to drive momentumEngaging with internal stakeholders to communicate progress, issues and mitigation actionsContributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance delivery performanceThis role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 4 days onsite and 1 day working from home.Essential experience of the Assistant Project ManagerExperience working within a project management or delivery environmentUnderstanding of the project lifecycle from planning through to deliveryStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to work to deadlines, schedules and changing prioritiesConfidence working collaboratively within multi‑disciplinary teamsQualifications for the Assistant Project ManagerProject Management qualification or equivalent experience (PFQ and/or PMQ desirable)Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
