HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter – £22ph – 4 On 4 Off Location: Avonmouth, Bristol Salary: £22.00 per hour Hours: 42 hours per week Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – Days Shift Times: 06:30–18:30 Job Type: Full Time | Permanent HGV Technician – Avonmouth Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for a £22 per hour HGV Technician role in Avonmouth? We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Avonmouth, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter looking for a permanent position with an excellent 4 on 4 off shift pattern, helping provide a great work-life balance. You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of HGVs, trucks, LGVs and trailers, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and on the road. The Role – HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic Your responsibilities will include: Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs, trucks and trailers Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance Fault finding and defect repairs Preparing vehicles for MOT testing Completing repairs to manufacturer and DVSA standards Using modern diagnostic equipment Completing job cards and workshop documentation Working efficiently to maximise vehicle uptime Maintaining a clean, safe and professional workshop Working as part of a skilled commercial vehicle technician team Requirements We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter with: Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Good electrical fault-finding ability A professional and reliable approach to work Full UK driving licence Ability to work a 4 on 4 off day shift Desirable: HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence IRTEC accreditation Main dealership or fleet workshop experience Manufacturer training What's On Offer? £22.00 per hour 4 on 4 off shift pattern Day shifts – 06:30–18:30 Permanent, full-time position Manufacturer and technical training Career development and progression Company pension Stable commercial vehicle workshop environment Excellent work-life balance Apply Today If you're an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or Commercial Vehicle Technician based in Avonmouth, Bristol, Portishead, Clevedon, Weston-super-Mare, Filton or the surrounding areas, apply today.
