Accounts Assistant

About the Business An exciting opportunity to join an established services business in Redditch as an Accounts Assistant, paying £28,000 – £35,000 depending on experience. This is a brilliant role, with hybrid working and study support, for someone at the start of their finance career who wants broad, hands-on experience across the accounts function, with a supportive team behind you and backing to work towards a finance qualification. Main Duties: As an Accounts Assistant, your main duties include: * Reconciling the company’s bank accounts, including foreign currency accounts, keeping them accurate and up to date * Helping with the month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, expense and fixed asset reconciliations * Allocating incoming customer receipts and raising sales invoices as needed * Handling supplier invoices, staff expenses and payment runs across the group * Keeping the purchase, sales and nominal ledgers accurate and well maintained * Assisting with chasing outstanding customer balances and resolving supplier queries * Getting involved in reporting, finance administration and one-off projects across the department Location / Office / Culture The company operate with hybrid working from offices in Redditch, where you’ll join a friendly and supportive finance team who are keen to help you learn.
