SMT Service Engineer

Location:Midlands (ideal location: Swindon to Manchester corridor)
Salary: £36,000 OTE £40-42k

Bolt Technical are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of advanced electronics production equipment.

Working across customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated manufacturing equipment, whilst delivering exceptional customer support.

Install, commission, and maintain specialist production equipment

Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and network-related faults

Deliver technical support and customer training

Complete service reports and documentation

Travel throughout the UK and Ireland, including regular overnight stays

Experience within SMT, PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or similar environments

Background in service engineering, maintenance, or process engineering

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Customer-focused with excellent communication skills

Good IT literacy and basic networking knowledge

Full UK driving licence

Comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays

Salary: £36k

Company vehicle or car allowance worth £8000 per annum

Annual profit-related bonus £4.5-5k
