Data Cabling Engineer

Location: Oxfordshire
Contract Length: 12 months

Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Data Cabling Engineers to join a project based in Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with a strong background in structured cabling installations who are available to start immediately.

The role will involve working within a commercial environment carrying out the installation, termination and testing of copper cabling infrastructure as part of a wider network deployment project.

Responsibilities

• Installation of Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cabling
• Termination of data outlets and patch panels
• Testing and certification using Fluke equipment
• Cable routing and containment work
• Labelling and documentation of installed cabling
• Working to project drawings and site specifications
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health & safety
  
  

Requirements

• Previous structured cabling experience
• ECS/CSCS card
• Own hand tools and PPE
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience terminating and testing copper cabling
• Strong attention to detail
  
  

Desirable

• IPAF
• Experience working on commercial, data centre or secure site projects
