- Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland - £40,000-£50,000 + Overtime Bonus + Benefits The Job: An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Agricultural Contracting Team Leader to join an established contracting business in Port William.
This is a hands on role combining team leadership, modern machinery operation and the delivery of high quality agricultural contracting services across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate agricultural contracting teams and daily workloads
- Operate modern agricultural machinery across a range of contracting operations
- Carry out fieldwork including grassland, silage, cultivation, drilling, mowing, baling and harvesting
- Plan workloads, machinery and labour to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
- Liaise with farmers and customers to ensure work is delivered to a high standard
- Support machinery maintenance, health & safety and seasonal planning
- Travel regionally to customer farms and contracting sites

The Candidate:
- Proven experience within agricultural contracting
- Strong practical knowledge of agricultural machinery and farm operation
- Confident operating tractors and a range of modern farm machinery
- Experience across several contracting operations, including cultivation, grassland, silage or harvesting
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous
- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively under pressure
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexible approach to seasonal working hours and regional travel

- Salary £40,000-£50,000 per annum DOE

Candidate Requirements All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for.
