We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a busy engineering team, supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production equipment and site facilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive engineer looking to join a successful manufacturing environment where continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence are highly valued.
The Role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities across a range of production and site equipment.
Key responsibilities include: Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
Diagnosing and resolving faults to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
Supporting preventative maintenance schedules and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Working closely with production and engineering teams to support operational requirements.
Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will possess: A strong background in electrical maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC fault finding.
Relevant engineering qualifications (minimum BTEC, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
Good knowledge of preventative maintenance and continuous improvement techniques.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
Previous experience using CMMS systems.
A solid understanding of health and safety requirements within an engineering environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
