- New Forest Area Salary: Competitive On-Call Allowance Contract: Full Time, Permanent Are you an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager looking to take the next step towards becoming a Registered Manager? We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Manager in Training to join a children's residential service.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills through mentoring, reflective supervision and hands-on experience, with a clear pathway towards becoming an Ofsted Registered Manager.
The Role: Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will: Support the day-to-day running of the home.
Lead shifts and deputise in the manager's absence.
Supervise, mentor and develop team members.
Promote outstanding care and positive outcomes for children.
Ensure safeguarding, compliance and Ofsted standards are maintained.
Support care planning, risk assessments and quality assurance processes.
Participate in the on-call rota and work flexibly to meet the needs of the home.
About You QCF Level 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Experience working within a children's residential setting.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's home regulations.
Natural leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential.
Willingness to complete or work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management if not already achieved.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
