Job description
HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER – BLANTYRE – NEW PASSES WELCOME People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Blantyre .

This role would suit applicants who have experience working as a LGV Class 2 Driver , Category C Driver or Lorry Driver .
Shifts: • Day shifts – early starts Annual Salary: • £30,000 per annum Benefits: As a HGV Class 2 Driver , you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates – PAYE role (holidays accrued separately) • Weekly pay • Ongoing, long-term work • Opportunity for newly passed drivers • Immediate starts available • Full training and support provided • Staff canteen • Free on-site parking • Company discounts after qualifying period • Supportive working environment Day-to-Day Duties: As a HGV Class 2 Driver , your duties will include: • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently • Delivering products to business customers, sometimes with assistance from a Driver's Mate • Loading and unloading vehicles safely and carefully • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle checks • Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations • Following assigned delivery routes and schedules • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers • Some handball required Essential Skills: To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver , you will need: • Valid UK Category C Licence • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes) • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude • Good communication and customer service skills • Sound understanding of traffic laws and road safety regulations xwzovoh • Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person delivery team Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial or multi-drop driving experience • Experience delivering large or bulky items • Previous customer-facing delivery experience Training: • Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout Apply: If you are interested in this opportunity as a HGV Class 2 Driver , please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
