Youll work on everything from building PLC code from scratch to integrating robotics, SCADA platforms, networked systems, and Smart Factory technologies.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, engineer, and implement automation and control solutions across plant operationsDevelop PLC programs from scratch using Rockwell/Allen Bradley platformsBuild and configure HMI and SCADA systems, including GE iFIX and FTViewIntegrate OEM equipment such as robots, label printers, servo drives and specialist automation componentsLead commissioning activities for new and upgraded plant automationConfigure industrial networks and integrate automation systems with MES and Smart Factory platformsProduce technical documentation, specifications and project scopesOversee contractors and suppliers during automation project deliveryEnsure all systems meet regulatory and internal engineering standardsSupport digital transformation initiatives across the siteSkills and ExperienceProven experience as an Automation and Controls Engineer within manufacturing or industrial environmentsStrong expertise in Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi PLCs, HMIs and SCADA platformsDemonstrable experience developing PLC code and commissioning complex equipmentHands-on integration experience with OEM systems including robotics and servo technologiesUnderstanding of Smart Factory principles, MES connectivity and industrial networkingExperience managing automation projects between £500k£2MAbility to travel across EMEA when required (including occasional US visits)Degree in Automation, Electrical, Control Systems or related engineering discipline (or equivalent)Chartered status desirable but not essentialPay and BenefitsSalary: Up to £55,000, plus up to 10% bonusOutstanding pension scheme
