<p><p>Your new company </p><p>You will be joining a well-established group based in Bangor, Co. Down, employing staff across multiple sites, with additional international operations. The business operates across several sectors, supplying a diverse customer base across global markets. </p><p><br>Your new role </p><p>As a Newly Qualified Accountant, you will join a growing finance team in an office-based role in Bangor, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. You will play a key role in producing accurate financial information to support month-end and year-end processes, statutory reporting and commercial decision- role is ideally suited to a recently qualified accountant seeking to build strong commercial and technical experience within an industry environment. </p><p><br>Key responsibilities will include: </p><ul><li>Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts </li><li>Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis </li><li>Assisting with year-end and external audit processes </li><li>Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies </li><li>Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data </li><li>Contributing to finance process improvements and efficiency initiatives </li><li>Providing financial support and advice to non-finance departments </li><li>Assisting with grant funding applications </li><li>Assisting with HMRC audits and statutory reporting requirements </li><li>Preparing financial information for US statutory filings </li><li>Developing effective working relationships across the business </li> </ul><p>This is a full-time, office-based role, working 35 hours per week with a flexible working hours policy in you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you will be: </p><ul><li>ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or at final stage) </li><li>Recently trained within practice or industry </li><li>Experienced in month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations </li><li>Knowledgeable in financial reporting and internal controls </li><li>Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail </li><li>A confident communicator with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders </li><li>Strong in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications </li> </ul><p>Desirable experience includes: </p><ul><li>Use of ERP systems </li><li>Exposure to US business or international reporting </li><li>Previous team supervision or mentoring experience </li> </ul><p>What you'll get in returnYou will receive a competitive benefits package, including: </p><ul><li>Flexible working hours </li><li>Employee discount and reward schemes </li><li>Staff discount scheme </li><li>Increased annual leave with length of service </li><li>Onsite electric vehicle charging </li><li>Secure, free onsite parking </li> </ul><p>What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career. </p><p>Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
