Passenger Security Officer - Flexible Working

<p><p>Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for Security Officers - Flexible Working to join a well-respected and successful client at <b>Belfast International Airport. </b> This role is open to applicants who have no previous security experience but have a genuine interest in aviation, customer service and security. <br><br> All necessary training will be fully paid and provided by sector experts including support in obtaining relevant background checks. There is on-site mentoring and clear career pathways leading to specialist management roles within our team, so think big! </p><br><p><b>Please note: </b> </p><br><ul><li>Due to enhanced background checks, this role is only suitable if you have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 years. </li><br></ul><br><p><b><br> Whats on offer: </b> </p><br><ul><li>Rate of pay: £12.72 per hour whilst training. £13.15 per hour after completion of x-ray training. </li><br><li>2 weeks of paid training provided (You must be available to attend the full two weeks training). </li><br><li>You must pick up a <b>minimum of 3 shifts per week </b> . <b> Including 1 weekend day. </b> (Shift timing examples below) </li><br><li>Weekly pay (every Friday). </li><br><li>Temp to Perm (performance-based). </li><br><li>Free staff car parking. </li><br></ul><br><p><b> Start Dates : </b> </p><br><ul><li>April 2026 </li><br><li>May 2026 </li><br></ul><br><p><b><br> Key Duties: </b> </p><br><ul><li>Using equipment and manual search techniques to ensure that no prohibited articles are taken into secure airport areas. </li><br><li>Carrying out regular patrols around airside and landside locations, access control, and passenger and x-ray screening. </li><br><li>Attending to and investigating reports of incidents. </li><br><li>Completing documentation clearly and concisely on any incidents that may have occurred. </li><br><li>Responding to and assisting with emergency situations. </li><br><li>Maintaining the highest level of customer service and satisfaction at all times. </li><br></ul><br><p><b><br> Requirements: </b> </p><br><ul><li>A positive, customer-centric attitude with a genuine desire to create a pleasant experience for all airport visitors. </li><br><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and aid in stressful situations. </li><br><li>Strong observational skills and attention to detail to effectively identify potential security risks. </li><br><li>Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adhere to strict security protocols. </li><br><li>Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks. </li><br><li>Proof of National Insurance </li><br><li>Proof of (current) Address </li><br><li>5 Year Address History </li><br><li>Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following their interview in line with CAA requirements. </li><br></ul><br><p><b> Shifts available: </b> </p><br><p>Below are the shifts that will be available on the App, you must be able to work 3 shifts per week and able to work <b>both AM and PM shifts </b> below.
