<p><p>VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established organisation within the automotive and commercial vehicle sector to recruit an experienced <strong>Panel Beater </strong>. This is a hands-on workshop role focused on the repair and restoration of vehicle bodywork to a high standard. </p><p>The successful candidate will be joining a busy and professional bodyshop environment where quality, accuracy, and efficiency are essential. Following an initial 6-month period, the role includes a graded assessment with the opportunity for salary progression based on performance. </p><p><strong>Working Hours </strong> </p><p>Full-time position<br>Monday to Friday<br>Standard workshop hours (overtime may be available depending on workload) </p><p><strong>The Role </strong> </p><p>* Carry out repair work on damaged vehicle panels to restore them to manufacturer and company standards<br>* Remove, repair, and replace damaged body panels and components as required<br>* Use a range of panel beating techniques including welding, filling, and reshaping metalwork<br>* Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods<br>* Prepare vehicles for refinishing in collaboration with spray painting colleagues<br>* Ensure all repairs are completed accurately, safely, and within agreed timeframes<br>* Work to manufacturer specifications and internal quality standards at all times<br>* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures<br>* Liaise with workshop colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and job progression<br>* Identify additional damage or repair requirements and report accordingly </p><p><strong>The Person </strong> </p><p>* Proven experience as a Panel Beater within an automotive, commercial vehicle, or bodyshop environment is essential<br>* Strong understanding of vehicle body repair techniques and processes<br>* Ability to carry out structural and non-structural repairs to a high standard<br>* Experience working with a variety of vehicle types, ideally including commercial vehicles<br>* High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality workmanship<br>* Ability to read and interpret damage assessments and repair requirements<br>* Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach<br>* Capable of working both independently and as part of a team<br>* Good awareness of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment<br>* Reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure </p><p><strong>Desirable Criteria </strong> </p><p>* NVQ/City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Body Repair or equivalent would be advantageous<br>* Previous experience working in a commercial vehicle environment would be beneficial </p> </p><p><strong>Skills: </strong> <br>panel beater bodywork bodyshop workshop NVQ Panel </p><p><strong>Benefits: </strong> <br>Great benefits and progression </p><br/><p>WHJS1_NI </p>
