Job description
<p><p><strong>Nucelear Medicine Radiographer </strong> </p><p><br>We are seeking a qualified Band 6 Nuclear Medicine Radiographer to join Belfast Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work within Nuclear Medicine where you will be performing and assisting with a broad range of activities associated with the use of radioactive substances in the investigation & treatment of patients. </p><p>Applicants must have experience within the radiotherapy setting, be adaptable to support service needs and able to communicate effectively with all members of the team. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong> </p><ul><li>The performance of Radionuclide imaging and organ uptake measurements and the quantitative analysis of image data. </li><li>The preparation of data for clinical reporting. </li><li>To ensure that all clinical data is archived according to departmental protocols and that data is stored securely. </li><li>The dispensing and administration of radiopharmaceuticals </li><li>The preparation of radiopharmaceuticals as required. </li><li>The supervision and training of students and junior staff. </li><li>To follow examination protocols, Local rules and radiation protection guidelines according to departmental guidelines. </li><li>The provision of technical expertise in relation to the research and development programmes of the department and in the evaluation of new procedures and equipment. </li><li>Ability to liaise with relevant individuals and groups and establish good working relationships, which support continuous quality initiatives. </li><li>Ensure that personal quality of work is evaluated against performance and departmental quality standards. </li><li>To ensure Radiation Protection rules are applied at all times. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria: </strong> </p><ul><li>Degree or Diploma in Radiography. </li><li>Current HCPC Registration. </li><li>Diploma in Radionuclide imaging / Nuclear Medicine or PgD with Radionuclide module or willing to train.
