<p><p>Scotts Bakery are a specialist manufacturer of Small Cakes supplying the Irish and GB Markets. </p><p>We have a vacancy for the Position of: <strong>Night Shift Supervisor </strong> </p><p>The ideal candidate will be motivated and responsible, enabling them to become part of an existing Team who ensure the smooth running of our manufacturing activity. </p><p>Past supervisory experience may be minimal provided the enthusiasm to learn and develop is strong. </p><p><strong>H </strong><strong>ours of work: </strong>Monday to Thursday night, 40.7 Hrs </p><p><strong>R </strong><strong>ate of Pay: </strong>In region of £45k<strong>, </strong>Experience dependent </p><p><strong>The Role: </strong>The Production Supervisor will support and manage the efficient day-to-day running of the Production department. You will ensure Production targets are achieved safely, on time and in full compliance with food safety quality standards. </p><p>The role involves coordinating team activities, monitoring staff training, maintaining high hygiene standards, and driving operational efficiency. </p><p><strong>Reporting to </strong> the Manufacturing Team Manager, the successful candidate will: </p><ul><li>Lead, manage and develop the team </li><li>Care, and have good communication skills </li><li>Be practical, proactive and enjoy a multi activity team environment </li><li>Monitor and promote Quality & Efficiency targets </li><li>Work to a Plan and advise Manager of any major challenges which may arise </li><li>Promote continuous improvement whilst maintaining high standards of housekeeping </li><li>Maintain Health & Safety, Hygiene and Food Quality Standards in accordance with Industry Regulations and our Quality System </li><li>Maintain a Clean, Dry work environment </li><li>Ensure the safe operation of machinery </li><li>Assist with recruitment and selection of Production staff </li><li>Participate in Appraisals and all aspects of Managing the Team </li><li>Support preparation for internal and external audits and assist during on-site inspections and customer visits. </li><li>Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility within the organisation. </li> </ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li>Strong organisational and communication skills </li><li>Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement </li><li>Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment </li><li>Strong knowledge of Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards </li><li>Ability to complete documentation accurately and maintain clear records </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise effectively </li> </ul><p><strong>Desirable Criteria </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li>Experience leading or supervising a team </li><li>Experience working to production targets </li><li>Understanding of HACCP principles and CCP monitoring </li><li>Experience preparing for or participating in internal/external audits </li><li>Experience in machinery start-up checks </li> </ul><p>Full Training will be provided to assist the integration of this new Team member. </p><p>If this opportunity sounds of interest, we look forward to hearing from you. </p><p>All positions are subject to early/late shift times. </p><p><strong>Closing date for Applications: </strong> 1st June 2026 </p><p>Scotts Bakery are an Equal Opportunities employer. </p> </p><br/><p>WHJS1_NI </p>
