<p><p><strong>VANRATH </strong> are pleased to be partnering with a prominent, multi-site automotive retail and aftersales group with an extensive UK and NI footprint. As part of continued expansion within their field-based service operation, we are recruiting for a <strong>Mobile Vehicle Mechanic (NIGHT SHIFT) </strong>to join their growing team. </p><p>This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent role within a progressive organisation that continues to invest in technology, training and customer service excellence. </p><p><strong>The Role </strong> </p><p>Reporting to the Mobile Service Manager, the successful candidate will operate as a fully qualified field-based technician, delivering maintenance, inspection and repair services directly to customers at their home or workplace. </p><p>You will act as a brand ambassador while ensuring vehicles are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with approved manufacturer and legislative standards. </p><p><strong>Key duties will include: </strong> </p><ul><li>Carrying out scheduled servicing, mechanical repairs and fault-finding across a range of passenger vehicles </li><li>Conducting vehicle health checks and providing clear, accurate diagnostic feedback </li><li>Working strictly in accordance with manufacturer guidance, company procedures and current legislation </li><li>Completing all job cards, service documentation and digital records accurately and within required timeframes </li><li>Delivering a professional, customer-focused experience during every interaction </li><li>Managing your own workload effectively while maintaining high productivity standards </li><li>Supporting team knowledge-sharing and assisting less experienced colleagues where appropriate </li><li>Maintaining safe working practices and ensuring all tools and equipment are used correctly </li> </ul><p><strong>The Ideal Candidate </strong> </p><ul><li>Full qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) </li><li>Current ATA accreditation (or working towards) </li><li>Proven experience within a dealership or high-volume automotive service environment </li><li>Strong diagnostic capability and sound mechanical knowledge </li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision </li><li>Excellent organisational and administrative skills </li><li>Confidence in customer-facing situations with a professional manner </li><li>Experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians (desirable) </li><li>A full UK driving licence held for at least 6 months with fewer than 9 penalty points </li><li>Proof of Right to Work in the UK </li> </ul><p><strong>What's on Offer </strong> </p><ul><li>Competitive salary package, company vehicle that can be kept overnight </li><li>Bonus opportunity linked to performance </li><li>Company pension scheme </li><li>Ongoing manufacturer and technical training </li><li>Long-term career progression within a large automotive group </li><li>Access to employee perks and discount schemes </li> </ul> </p><p><strong>Skills: </strong> <br>Vehicle tech vehicle technician car car mechanic vehicle mechanic mobile mechanic </p><p><strong>Benefits: </strong> <br>Work From Home Fantastic benefit package van </p><br/><p>WHJS1_NI </p>
