We support our team members to reach their full potential in an inclusive environment that values diversity. </p><p><strong>The Role </strong> </p><p>We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Cell Technician SAP PM & Corrugator to join our Engineering team at Yate. </p><p>You will play a key role in maintaining and improving corrugator performance, leading SAP PM activity, and driving planned preventative maintenance to achieve high standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability. </p><p>The role is primarily days-based (07:0015:00, 8-hour shifts), with a requirement to work some weekdays and scheduled weekend shifts to support training, projects, and site operations. </p><p><strong>What Youll Be Doing </strong> </p><p>As a Mechanical Cell Technician, youll be responsible for: </p><ul> <li>Leading mechanical maintenance activities on the corrugator and acting as SAP PM lead </li> <li>Planning and delivering preventative and planned maintenance, analysing breakdowns and reducing downtime </li> <li>Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site and legislative standards </li> <li>Maintaining accurate SAP PM records and proactively planning engineering work up to 6 weeks ahead </li> <li>Optimising machine performance through mechanical settings, performance mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives </li> <li>Supporting spare parts management, contractor coordination, and engineering budgets </li> <li>Producing Excel-based reports to support engineering and management reviews </li> <li>Promoting strong communication and teamwork across Engineering and Production </li> <li>Carrying out mechanical repairs, condition monitoring, and the safe use of workshop equipment to support site reliability </li> </ul><p><strong>Who Were Looking For </strong> </p><p>This role is suited to an experienced mechanically biased engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and driving improvements in reliability and performance. </p><p><strong>Qualities and skills </strong> </p><ul> <li>Strong mechanical maintenance background within a continuous manufacturing environment </li> <li>Advanced working knowledge of SAP PM (SAP MM desirable) </li> <li>Highly competent in Excel, including formulas and data analysis </li> <li>Good understanding of electro-mechanical equipment and mechanical drawings </li> <li>Strong awareness of health & safety and safe working practices </li> <li>Able to plan, prioritise, and work proactively with minimal supervision </li> <li>Clear communicator who works well with engineers, operators, and manager </li> <li>Experience in corrugated, print, or packaging manufacturing </li> <li>Knowledge of TPM / Lean continuous improvement principles </li> <li>Experience with condition monitoring techniques (e.g. predictive or preventative maintenance) </li> </ul><p><strong>Qualifications </strong> </p><ul> <li>Completed mechanical engineering apprenticeship </li> <li>NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HND (or equivalent) in a mechanical discipline </li> </ul><p><strong>What We Offer </strong> </p><ul> <li>Competitive salary & benefits, including annual leave, pension, and a Cycle to Work scheme </li> <li>Ongoing training and development opportunities </li> <li>24/7 confidential support for you and your family </li> <li>Flexible working options and family-friendly policies </li> <li>Guaranteed interview for candidates meeting essential criteria (Disability Confident Employer) </li> </ul><p>Ready to make an impact?
