<p><p><strong>Marine Engineer </strong> </p><p><strong>Derry/ Londonderry </strong> </p><p><strong>£40,500 plus bonus and benefits </strong> </p> <p>An opportunity is available for an experienced Marine Engineer to support harbour vessel operations in a safety-critical role. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and compliance of marine vessels and equipment, while also operating as part of vessel crews when required. </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong> </p><p>*Maintain, service, and repair marine engines, plant, and specialist equipment. </p><p>*Diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns efficiently. </p><p>*Support dry-docking activities and planned maintenance programmes. </p><p>*Crew harbour vessels as required, including tug operations and external contracts. </p><p>*Ensure all vessels and equipment meet statutory, regulatory, and certification requirements. </p><p>*Manage maintenance records, certification, and documentation. </p><p>*Work in strict compliance with Safe Systems of Work. </p><p>*Contribute to risk assessments and safety reporting. </p><p>*Report hazards, incidents, and non-compliance promptly and support corrective actions. </p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria </strong> </p><p>*Hold a relevant STCW-recognised engineering Certificate of Competency. </p><p>*Minimum 2 years relevant engineering experience. </p><p>*Hold a Seafarer Medical Certificate (ENG 1 or ENG 11) or willing to obtain prior to appointment. </p><p>*Strong knowledge of health & safety in an industrial or marine environment. </p><p>*Physically capable of working at heights and in confined spaces. </p><p>*Basic IT skills, including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and experience with CMMS and online training systems. </p><p>*Full driving licence or access to suitable transport. </p> <p><strong>For more information on this role contact Zoey at Cpl </strong> </p> </p><br/><p>WHJS1_NI </p>
