<p><strong>IT Customer Support Technician (1st Line Support) </strong><br><strong><br>Overview<br></strong><br>We’re working with a growing company in Bristol seeking a <strong>Customer </strong> <strong>IT Support Technician </strong> to join their <strong>1st line support team </strong>.<br>This is a varied role combining technical support, customer interaction, and training. You’ll troubleshoot issues, support users, and help create documentation and training materials.<br>Great opportunity for someone early in their IT support career looking to build technical depth in a supportive environment.<br><strong><br>Key Responsibilities </strong><ul><li>Act as first point of contact for customer support queries </li><li>Investigate, replicate, and log technical issues </li><li>Work with development teams to resolve bugs </li><li>Manage user accounts, access, and system updates </li><li>Create user guides, FAQs, and support documentation </li><li>Deliver customer training (remote and onsite) </li><li>Maintain strong product knowledge to support users effectively </li> </ul><strong><br>About You </strong><br><ul><li>1+ year experience in IT support / helpdesk / software support </li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills </li><li>Good attention to detail and customer focus </li><li>Able to learn new systems quickly </li> </ul><br><strong><br>Desirable: </strong> SQL, Freshdesk or similar tools, ISO awareness, asset management or public sector exposure<br><strong><br>Hours </strong><br><ul><li>Mon–Thu: 09:00–17:00 </li><li>Fri: 09:00–16:30 </li><li>On-call rota (early/evening cover, 2 slots per week, paid allowance) </li> </ul><br><strong><br>Benefits </strong><br><ul><li>Bristol - (Hybrid - 3 days office 2 days per annum) </li><li>Salary up to £30,000 per annum plus on call allowance potential of £2,700<br>Full Time - Permanent (37 hrs) </li><li>A full clean licence is preferred but not essential </li><li>Annual salary review + bonus (discretionary) </li><li>Pension </li><li>Holiday increase with service </li> </ul><br><strong>After probation: </strong> Private healthcare, life insurance, income protection, cycle to work </p>
