Role: Hire Controller Pay: £14.47 Location: Slough Hours: Monday- Friday 7:30am – 5:00pm Contract: Temp to Perm We’re excited to be recruiting for a Hire Controller to join a busy and fast-paced operation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, taking ownership, and working as part of a supportive team. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of tools and/or plant hire equipment. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Responding to emails and customer queries along with answering incoming telephone calls. </li><li>Managing inbound hire and sales enquiries, completing transactions accurately and in a timely manner </li><li>Providing a high level of customer service, both over the phone and serving customers at the trade counter </li><li>Carrying out general administrative duties </li><li>Developing strong product knowledge to effectively support customers </li><li>Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment </li> </ul> Skills & Experience Required: <ul><li>Proven previous experience in a Customer Service role, ideally handling inbound order or sales enquiries </li><li>Ability to successfully complete transactions while ensuring customer satisfaction </li><li>Previous experience in the hire or construction industry is essential </li><li>Strong communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and build relationships </li><li>Confident using initiative and judgment to make decisions in line with company policies and pricing structures </li><li>A collaborative team player with a flexible and adaptable approach </li><li>Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail </li><li>Commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing service levels </li><li>Good computer literacy, including MS Office, with a willingness to learn new systems </li> </ul> If you come from a tool or plant hire background and are looking for your next opportunity, we’d love to hear from you, apply now!
