Group Tax Accountant

<p><p>An established, large-scale organisation operating across the UK and Ireland is seeking an experienced <strong>Group Tax Accountant </strong> to take ownership of tax compliance, reporting and advisory activity across a complex, multi-entity group. </p><p><br></p><p>This is a senior technical role within a high-performing finance function, offering broad exposure across corporation tax, indirect tax, cross-border activity and group reporting, with opportunities to influence process improvement and transformation initiatives. </p><p><br></p><p>Reporting into the Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the organisations end-to-end tax environment while working closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Whats on Offer: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>£55,000 - £65,000 (DOE) </p> </li><li><p>Hybrid working model (3 office days & 2 from home) </p> </li><li><p>Flexi-time </p> </li><li><p>25 days annual leave plus bank holidays </p> </li><li><p>6% employer pension </p> </li> </ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Key responsibilities include: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Leading all group tax matters including corporation tax, VAT, PAYE and customs </p> </li><li><p>Managing tax compliance and reporting to external bodies and advisors </p> </li><li><p>Supporting intercompany accounting, M&A activity, cross-border transactions and transfer pricing </p> </li><li><p>Contributing to statutory accounts and wider financial reporting </p> </li><li><p>Supporting budgeting, forecasting and internal reporting cycles </p> </li><li><p>Acting as a business partner on commercial and operational projects </p> </li><li><p>Driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and controls, including digital transformation initiatives </p> </li> </ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Candidate Profile: </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) or CTA qualified </p> </li><li><p>Minimum 5 years experience in a similar tax-focused role </p> </li><li><p>Strong technical knowledge across UK tax and statutory reporting </p> </li><li><p>Experience in cross-border trading and group structures </p> </li><li><p>Advanced Excel and financial analysis capability </p> </li><li><p>Strong communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across the business </p> </li><li><p>Proactive, detail-driven and comfortable working under pressure </p> </li> </ul><p><br></p><p>Apply below or get in touch with <strong>Marc Norton at Artemis Human Capital </strong> for full information. </p><p><br></p> </p><p><strong>Skills: </strong> <br>CTA ACA Tax </p><br/><p>WHJS1_NI </p>
