As the business continues to grow, we are committed to developing our people and offering <strong>genuine opportunities for career progression </strong>. </p><p><strong>The Role </strong> </p><p>Were looking for an organised, customer-focused <strong>Fleet Coordinator </strong> to join our operations team in Newtownabbey. This is a key role at the heart of our fleet operation, where youll help ensure vehicles are maintained, defects are resolved quickly, and customers are kept fully informed. </p><p>If you enjoy problem-solving, working in a fast-paced environment, and being the link between customers, workshops, and suppliers, this role offers real responsibility and visibility. </p><p><strong>What Youll Be Doing </strong> </p><p><strong>Customer & Operational Support </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li>Act as a main point of contact for customers via phone and email </li><li>Respond to maintenance issues and defects efficiently and professionally </li><li>Coordinate breakdown support to minimise vehicle downtime </li><li>Keep customers updated with clear, timely communication </li> </ul><p><strong>Fleet & Maintenance Coordination </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li>Plan and schedule routine maintenance, annual inspections, and defect repairs </li><li>Work with internal systems and telematics to track fleet activity </li><li>Ensure fleet records and compliance documentation are accurate and up to date </li> </ul><p><strong>Supplier & Cost Control </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li>Liaise with third-party suppliers and repair agents </li><li>Raise and manage purchase orders in line with agreed pricing </li><li>Use judgement and experience to select the most effective repair solutions </li> </ul><p><strong>Reporting & Administration </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li>Maintain accurate records and produce operational reports </li><li>Support team priorities and assist with workload management </li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement and ad hoc operational projects </li> </ul><p><strong>What Were Looking For </strong> </p><p><strong>Experience </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li>At least <strong>1 years experience </strong> in a coordination, fleet, transport, or operations role (desirable) </li><li>Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Exposure to fleet, transport, logistics, or vehicle maintenance is an advantage, but not essential </li> </ul><p><strong>Skills & Attributes </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li>Strong communication skills with confidence on phone and email </li><li>Calm, logical problem-solving approach </li><li>Well organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines </li><li>Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate level) </li><li>Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment </li> </ul><p><strong>What Youll Get in Return </strong> </p><ul type="disc"><li><strong>Competitive salary (depending on experience) </strong> </li><li><strong>33 days annual leave </strong> (including public holidays) </li><li>Competitive pension contribution </li><li>Private medical insurance </li><li>Employee Assistance Programme </li><li>Free on-site parking </li><li>Ongoing training and genuine opportunities for career development </li><li>A stable, weekday-only role with no weekend working </li> </ul><p><strong>How to Apply </strong> </p><p>If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, wed love to hear from you. </p><p>Please submit your CV (and a short cover letter if you wish) by clicking the apply button below </p><p>Hireco TL Ltd. is an equal opportunities employer.
