Farm Manager

<p>Due to approaching retirement of our progressive Farm Manager; family owned & operated arable unit (1,100 ha), seeks to appoint knowledgeable, experienced, full-time successor. </p> <p>Reporting directly to the Directors, you will have day to day responsibility for a team, growing cereals, Oilseeds, Beet & potatoes (with irrigation) alongside farm diversification enterprises. </p> <p><strong>Key requirements </strong> </p> <ul> <li>Good communication skills; able to work alongside / invigorate the employee team - ensuring high operational standards </li> <li>Organisational and planning skills - to oversee all general farm, field and mechanical operations. </li> <li>An understanding of soils, cultivations and crop inputs </li> <li>Methodical approach to record keeping, H & S, liaise with agronomists </li> <li>Keen to develop new techniques & technology to meet future industry challenges </li> <li>Proactive approach to budgets and resources </li> <li>Full Driver's Licence essential. </li> </ul> <p><strong>In return we offer </strong> </p> <ul> <li>A very competitive salary based on experience with discretionary bonus scheme </li> <li>Contribution towards pension scheme </li> <li>Company vehicle, mobile phone & laptop </li> <li>28 days annual leave </li> <li>Accommodation may be provided if required. </li> </ul> <p>In the first instance, please send your CV and covering letter to; </p> <p><b>You can also apply for this role by clicking the Apply Button. </b> </p>
