<strong> Job Title: </strong>Cost Analyst<h2><strong>Circa £37,500 (depending on skills & experience) </strong> </h2><h2><strong>Permanent / </strong><strong>Full-time / 37 hours per week. (Flexible Working Opportunities available) </strong> </h2><h2><strong>Peterborough or Huntingdon - Hybrid (Minimum 2 days in office per week) </strong> </h2> <p>Make every drop of your potential count </p><p>We're looking for a Cost Analyst to provide specialist cost, commercial and financial analysis support across our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) frameworks. This role plays a key part in ensuring cost control, value for money and strong commercial governance across complex supplier and delivery frameworks.<br /><br />Working closely with framework managers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll support tender activity, cost assurance, financial performance reporting and continuous improvement of commercial processes. You'll act as a subject matter expert, helping teams make informed, value-focused decisions. </p> <h2>What you'll be doing </h2><p>* Supporting competitive tenders, mini-competitions, call-off orders and Best-for-Task resourcing within DDaT frameworks </p><p>* Administering cost and commercial processes, ensuring compliance with legislation, policy and framework terms </p><p>* Providing cost and commercial SME input into evaluations, moderation and lessons-learned activities </p><p>* Supporting contract administration, cost capture and challenge of cost estimates and change requests </p><p>* Producing financial and cost performance reporting, dashboards and KPIs </p><p>* Supporting assurance, audit activity and contract compliance across DDaT frameworks </p><p>* Ensuring suppliers comply with cost, contractual and reporting requirements </p><p>* Identifying opportunities to improve, streamline or automate cost control and reporting processes </p><p>* Supporting BAU continuity across the wider Commercial Team </p> <h2>What we're looking for </h2><p>* Strong understanding of cost analysis, commercial and contract management principles </p><p>* Experience supporting tenders, cost control, contract management or framework governance </p><p>* Ability to analyse financial and cost data to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities </p><p>* Confidence working with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers </p><p>* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to challenge constructively </p><p>* Highly organised and able to deliver quality outputs to tight deadlines </p><p>* Comfortable working autonomously while contributing effectively within a team </p><p>* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and reporting tools </p> <h2>Benefits </h2><p>* 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with length of service) </p><p>* Flexible working options </p><p>* Private health care </p><p>* Competitive pension scheme - Anglian Water double‑matches contributions up to 6% </p><p>* Life assurance at eight times your salary </p><p>* Annual bonus </p><p>* Potential funded car allowance depending on evidenced business mileage </p><p>* Personal medical assessments </p><p>* Virtual GP service </p><p>* Cancer screening </p><p>* Financial wellbeing support and salary finance benefits </p><p>* Lifestyle savings including discounts on retail, travel and utilities </p><p>* Employee Assistance Programme </p><p>* Volunteer days </p><h3>Inclusion at Anglian Water </h3><p>We're committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong.
