<p><p><strong>Care Home Cook Manager required in Belfast </strong> </p><ul><li>40 hours per week </li><li>4 out of 7 working days </li><li>7:30am - 5pm </li><li>33280k - 34320k per annum </li> </ul><p><strong>? Role Summary </strong> </p><p>A s the <strong>Care Home Cook Manager </strong> you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and managing nutritious meals for residents while ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and team management within the kitchen. </p> <p><strong>????? Food Preparation & Service </strong> </p><ul><li>Plan and prepare balanced, nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs </li><li>Cater for special diets (e.g. diabetic, soft foods, allergies) </li><li>Ensure meals are appealing, well-presented, and served on time </li> </ul><p><strong>?? Menu Planning </strong> </p><ul><li>Develop seasonal menus with variety and nutritional balance </li><li>Consider resident's preferences and cultural needs </li><li>Work within budget while maintaining quality </li> </ul><p><strong>?? Food Safety & Hygiene </strong> </p><ul><li>Ensure compliance with <strong>food safety regulations (e.g. HACCP) </strong> </li><li>Maintain a clean and organised kitchen at all times </li><li>Record temperature checks, cleaning schedules, and stock control </li> </ul><p><strong>?? Staff Management </strong> </p><ul><li>Supervise kitchen staff (cooks, assistants, kitchen porters) </li><li>Train team members on food safety and procedures </li><li>Manage rotas, holidays, and performance </li> </ul><p><strong>?? Stock & Budget Control </strong> </p><ul><li>Order food supplies and manage inventory </li><li>Reduce waste and control costs </li><li>Work within set budgets </li> </ul><p><strong>?? Resident Interaction </strong> </p><ul><li>Engage with residents to gather feedback </li><li>Adapt meals based on individual needs and preferences </li><li>Contribute to a positive dining experience </li> </ul><p><strong>??
