<p><p><strong>Civil / Maritime CAD Technician | Belfast </strong><br>Vickerstock are pleased to be working in partnership with a leading, international engineering consultancy to recruit a Civil / Maritime CAD Technician to join their specialist maritime and coastal engineering team based in Belfast.<br>This role would suit an experienced CAD Technician with a background in civil, marine, or heavy infrastructure projects, who is keen to work on technically interesting schemes including ports, harbours, coastal defences, and marine infrastructure across the UK and Ireland.<br><strong>Your new role as Civil / Maritime CAD Technician </strong><br>As part of the maritime engineering team, you will support the delivery of civil and marine infrastructure projects through the production of high-quality drawings and coordinated design information.<br><strong>Key responsibilities will include: </strong> </p><ul><li>Producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings to support the design of maritime and coastal infrastructure. </li><li>Preparing general arrangement drawings, sections, details, and construction information for ports, harbours, quays, and coastal defence schemes. </li><li>Supporting engineers by translating design concepts and calculations into clear, accurate CAD outputs. </li><li>Coordinating drawings with other disciplines to ensure consistency and buildability. </li><li>Updating and managing drawing registers and project documentation. </li><li>Maintaining drawing standards and contributing to internal quality assurance procedures. </li><li>Assisting with the development of models and drawings at concept, detailed design, and construction stages. </li> </ul><p><strong>What you'll need to succeed as a Civil / Maritime CAD Technician </strong><br>To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate: </p><ul><li>Proven experience working as a CAD Technician within a civil or infrastructure design environment. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (experience with 3D modelling or BIM tools would be advantageous). </li><li>Experience producing drawings for civil infrastructure projects; maritime or coastal project exposure would be highly beneficial. </li><li>Good understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methodology. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical work. </li><li>Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary design team. </li> </ul><p><strong>What's in it for you? </strong><br>In return, you'll receive a competitive package and the opportunity to work on high-profile and technically complex maritime infrastructure projects, including: </p><ul><li>Competitive salary, dependent on experience. </li><li>Hybrid and flexible working arrangements. </li><li>Long-term project pipeline across maritime, coastal, and heavy civil sectors. </li><li>Supportive technical environment with experienced engineers and specialists. </li><li>Ongoing training and development in CAD, BIM, and infrastructure design. </li> </ul><p><strong>For a confidential discussion on this role, or other opportunities within Civil & Structural Engineering, please contact Brian Mitchell at Vickerstock Recruitment. </strong> </p> </p><p><strong>Skills: </strong> <br>Civil Technician Civil 3D Modelling </p><br/><p>WHJS1_NI </p>
