We are proud to have built a workplace where our colleagues feel welcomed, respected, supported and valued reflected in our recognition as one of the Financial Times UKs Best Employers in 2025 and 2026.<br no-style="box-sizing: border-box;">We celebrate individuality and believe our differences make us stronger, so bring your true self and help shape the future of LV=. </em> </p><p > <strong >Key Responsibilities </strong> </p> </p> </p><ul> <li>Consistently delivering complex work inanaccurate and timely manner, with the ability to efficiently manage your workload. </li> <li>Clearly communicating complex terminology through presentations, documents and reports to a range of stakeholders and senior decision makers when required. </li> <li>Promoting good risk management practices, ensuring that all applicablecompany proceduresare followed, and demonstrating commercial expertise. </li> <li>Monitoring and maintaining your awareness of regulatory and market developments, and assessing potential impacts of these on the Protection Pricing area. </li> <li>Carrying out data analysis and communicating findings within the team where appropriate. </li> <li>Providing training, guidanceand coachingto more junior staff where appropriate (you may become a line manager to a member of the team over time). </li> <li>Applying bestpracticeand existing knowledge to strengthen processes and drive a culture of continuous improvement, across the department and wider business. </li> <li>Building effective working relationships within the team and throughout the Protection business, plus other departments such as Finance. </li> <li>Proactively working to resolve complex pricing issues as they arise. </li> <li>Working on Protection-based pricing projects, both in collaboration with colleagues and independently. </li> </ul><p><strong>About You </strong> </p><p> Our ideal candidate will </p><ul type="disc"> <li>Be a qualified Actuary, with robust experience in Pricing and demonstrable experience in a similar role. </li> <li>Have sufficient awarenessof limitations to processes and the company. </li> <li>Understand whento escalate issues that require further support to resolve. </li> <li>Possess stronganalytical skills, with the ability to effectively utilise tools such as Excel, R, Prophet, and Power BI. </li> <li>Demonstrate strongIT skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes such as Outlook,Wordand PowerPoint. </li> <li>Be a fantasticcommunicator,with engaging presentation skills the ability to communicate complex, technical informationto seniormanagementand internal committees will be essential. </li> <li>Be a self-motivated individual, able to effectively manage your own workload. </li> <li>Supporton and seek out opportunities forcontinuous improvement activity. </li> <li>Be a collaborative individual, with a team player mindset. </li> <li>Possess people management skills, with experience of carrying out line manager duties for a small team (desirable but not essential). </li> <li>Showcase a strong technical background, with hands-on experience in the UK financial services market and economic environment (gained while studying or when qualified as a Fellow). </li> <li>Have gained appropriate professional qualifications such as Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. </li> </ul><p><strong>Rewards & Benefits </strong> </p><p> This role is a Band C in the LV= Structure. </p><p><ul id="ctl00_ctl00_ContentContainer_mainContent_fcVacancyDetailsDescription_ITSFields" no-style="box-sizing: border-box;
