<p>Job Description</p><br>The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.<br><p>Terraform Infrastructure Engineer / IaC SME - Banking Client - London, Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam</p><p>Rate: Flexible Rate</p><p>Hybrid Working: 8 days onsite per month - the rest is remote</p><p>Duration: 1 year freelance</p><p>We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Terraform Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic infrastructure team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure as code using Terraform.</p><p>We are looking for someone who is passionate about infrastructure technologies and automation, and who is eager to make a significant impact on our projects.</p><p>If you are a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is driven to make a difference, we would love to hear from you!</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Design, implement, and manage our compute and backup infrastructure</li><li>Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of our infrastructure resources</li><li>Collaborate with development teams to ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are efficient and effective</li><li>Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability</li><li>Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards</li><li>Optimize infrastructure costs and resource utilization</li><li>Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform using best practices and support implementations from development to production</li><li>Cooperate with application teams to support and deliver solutions and new capabilities, driving the change to develop innovative ways to resolve issues</li><li>Build new tools and automate to take maximum benefit of our infrastructure capabilities, including automating tools for troubleshooting, diagnostics, and other purposes</li><li>Translate security requirements from Security Architects into technical designs</li><li>Review design specifications to ensure a full understanding of individual deliverables</li><li>Write and update technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, technical standards, and training materials</li></ul><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Proven experience (4-5 years) in infrastructure automation (IAAC)</li><li>Knowledge of traditional IT architectures in Distributed Systems (Virtualisation, Windows, Linux, Storage, Containers)</li><li>Knowledge of compute (HCI/CI), backup (Cohesity) or storage platforms (NAS, S3, SAN) are an asset</li><li>Knowledge of networking and core Internet protocols</li><li>Familiarity with software development tools like Azure DevOps and Terraform (Enterprise)</li><li>Expertise in Terraform, including:<ul><li>Writing Terraform modules in HCL</li><li>Strong understanding of software delivery processes and xwzovoh best practices.</li><li>Release management (release notes and documentation about changes)</li><li>State Management and Configuration Management</li></ul></li><li>Good knowledge of TFE providers (Nutanix, VMware, storage, …)</li><li>Good knowledge of Ansible, Tower, python, PowerShell, bash, C##, .NET, Rest/Open API, Power BI, YAML, JSON</li></ul><p>Soft Skills:</p><ul><li>Ability to build relationships with customers and influence and negotiate to achieve defined goals</li><li>Ability to distinguish between quick wins and long-term goals</li><li>Active listening skills and proactive mindset</li><li>Ability to reduce complex tasks and situations to clear and manageable items</li><li>Understanding that teamwork is essential for achieving results</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li></ul><p>Ability to work in a rapidly changing (Agile) environment</p><p>Please do send across to me the most up to date CV to</p>
