A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.<br><br>Reporting to the Operations Director, this role carries strategic and tactical responsibility for delivering technical excellence, driving product quality, and ensuring all technical and compliance standards exceed customer expectations.<br><br>The Technical Manager will lead a dedicated team, oversee quality and food safety systems, and work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain and enhance the companys reputation for excellence.<br><br>Key Responsibilities Leadership & People Management Lead, coach, and develop the technical team to ensure all operational and technical activities are effectively delivered.<br><br>Set clear objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.<br><br>Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.<br><br>Deliver training and coaching sessions to enhance technical capability.<br><br>Collaborate closely with production and operational teams to ensure policies and procedures are fully implemented.<br><br>Manage grievance and disciplinary processes in line with company policy.<br><br>Liaise directly with customers and suppliers, resolving technical issues promptly and professionally.<br><br>Technical & Quality Management Oversee all aspects of technical compliance, ensuring adherence to legislative, BRCGS, and customer standards.<br><br>Monitor product standards, specifications, and quality control systems.<br><br>Drive the implementation and maintenance of HACCP and food safety management systems.<br><br>Lead site audits (internal, customer, and third-party), ensuring successful outcomes.<br><br>Manage traceability, allergen control, and corrective action processes.<br><br>Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.<br><br>Contribute to the development and implementation of site-wide technical strategies.<br><br>Administration & Reporting Manage and monitor technical documentation and data systems.<br><br>Analyse data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.<br><br>Maintain accurate records for training, audits, and compliance purposes.<br><br>Plan and manage staff schedules, holidays, and absence records.<br><br>About You Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in a senior technical or quality leadership role within food manufacturing.<br><br>Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and food safety standards.<br><br>Excellent leadership and people management skills.<br><br>Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a proactive approach.<br><br>Effective communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.<br><br>Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management systems.<br><br>Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make decisions under pressure.<br><br>Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the business.<br><br>Desirable Experience working with major UK retailers or within a food manufacturing environment.<br><br>Lead auditor qualification or equivalent.<br><br>Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.<br><br>Whats on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package.<br><br>Opportunity to play a key role in shaping technical strategy within a growing business.<br><br>Supportive leadership team and collaborative working culture. xwzovoh <br><br>Career development opportunities within a dynamic manufacturing environment.<br><br>If youre a technically strong, hands-on leader passionate about quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, wed love to hear from you.
