<p>Job Description</p><br>Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.<br><p>Supply Teaching Assistant – Grimsby and surrounding areas</p><p>Location: Various primary schools across the local area</p><p>Contract: Flexible supply work – full-time or part-time</p><p>Pay Rate: £90–£100 per day</p><p>About the Role</p><p>We are seeking confident and resilient Supply Teaching Assistants with strong classroom experience to support primary schools across Grimsby and surrounding areas.</p><p>This role is ideal for individuals who are skilled at building positive relationships, maintaining routines, and supporting children who may present challenging behaviour or require additional pastoral support.</p><p>What You’ll Be Doing</p><ul><li>Classroom Support & Learning</li><li>Supporting the class teacher with daily tasks and routines</li><li>Helping to deliver engaging learning activities to whole classes and small groups</li><li>Encouraging pupil participation and ensuring all learners stay on task</li><li>Creating a calm, structured, and positive learning environment</li></ul><p>Supporting Challenging Behaviour</p><ul><li>Supporting pupils who display behavioural or emotional difficulties</li><li>Using de-escalation strategies and consistent behaviour expectations</li><li>Providing a steady, nurturing presence to help pupils regulate and refocus</li><li>Following school behaviour policies and contributing to a safe learning environment</li></ul><p>One-to-One & Targeted Support</p><ul><li>Working closely with pupils who have additional learning or behavioural needs</li><li>Running or supporting intervention activities under teacher/SENCO direction</li><li>Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and resilience</li></ul><p>Flexibility & Adaptability</p><ul><li>Working across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 depending on school needs</li><li>Adapting quickly to new classrooms, routines, and behaviour systems</li><li>Being available for pre-planned or same-day supply bookings</li><li>Communicating clearly with school staff and your Reed consultant</li></ul><p>You Will Thrive in This Role if</p><p>You are someone who has:</p><ul><li>Strong classroom experience</li><li>Confidence in supporting learners with challenging behaviour</li><li>Calm, consistent, and proactive xwzovoh behaviour-management skills</li><li>Professionalism, reliability, and excellent communication</li><li>Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships quickly</li><li>Commitment to safeguarding and following school policies</li><li>Has an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)</li></ul><p>Benefits of Working Through Reed Education</p><ul><li>Flexible work tailored to your availability</li><li>Experience across a range of primary school settings</li><li>Competitive daily pay with weekly payroll</li><li>A dedicated Reed consultant with teaching experience to offer support</li><li>Access to CPD including Safeguarding in Education</li><li>Opportunities for long-term roles for those seeking stability</li></ul>
