Job description
<p>Charterhouse is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Physics to join our dynamic and academically ambitious Science Faculty from September 2026.</p><br>The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.<br> <p>Physics at Charterhouse is thriving. Based in the recently refurbished Observatory Building, the department combines excellent facilities, strong pupil uptake and a culture of curiosity, ambition and enjoyment of the subject. Pupils are encouraged to explore Physics well beyond the syllabus through Olympiads, competitions, research projects and lectures, supported by a highly skilled technician team and a strong tradition of practical, engaging teaching.</p> <p>The successful candidate will teach Physics across the age and attainment range of the School, including IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma pathways. We are looking for someone with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom presence and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young people.</p> <p>This role would suit a recent graduate, an experienced teacher, or someone looking to move into the independent sector. As a full-time member of teaching staff, the successful candidate will also contribute to the wider life of this busy and vibrant boarding school community, including pastoral and co-curricular activities.</p> <p>Charterhouse is one of the world’s leading coeducational independent schools, set within a stunning 250-acre campus in Surrey.
