These products help protect people working in demanding environments, from construction and manufacturing through to specialist safety and sporting applications. </p><p>Working within a collaborative technical team, you will help ensure testing processes remain accurate, compliant, and fully aligned with recognised international standards. </p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong> </p><p>After full training and support, you will be responsible for: </p><p>Maintaining and improving quality and technical documentation, including calibration records, maintenance logs, and certificates of conformity </p><p>Supporting and developing the department’s ISO 17025 quality management system </p><p>Carrying out equipment calibrations in line with relevant international and European standards </p><p>Coordinating inter-laboratory comparisons and proficiency testing activities </p><p>Acting as the main point of contact for external accreditation audits (UKAS) </p><p>Supporting internal audit activities and continuous improvement initiatives </p><p>Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures and regulations </p><p>Managing calibration schedules and ensuring all equipment remains compliant </p><p>Producing calibration certificates with accurate data, analysis, and conclusions </p><p>Liaising with external subcontractors and suppliers </p><p>Supporting calculation and review of measurement uncertainty budgets </p><p>Creating, maintaining, and validating test result templates </p><p>Providing support to departmental administrative functions where required </p><p><strong>About You</strong> </p><p>We are looking for someone who is organised, analytical, and comfortable working in a structured technical environment. </p><p><strong>Essential skills and experience:</strong> </p><p>Science or mathematics background (A-Level grade C or above, or equivalent) OR xwzovoh relevant laboratory experience </p><p>Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy </p><p>Good written and verbal communication skills </p><p>Strong organisational and time management abilities </p><p>Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office </p><p>Ability to work independently and use initiative </p><p>Logical, methodical approach to problem-solving </p><p>Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment </p><p><strong>Desirable experience:</strong> </p><p>Experience working within quality assurance or quality management systems </p><p>Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards </p><p>Understanding of laboratory or mechanical/physics principles </p><p>Exposure to measurement uncertainty calculations </p><p><strong>Apply Now</strong> </p><p>If you’re looking for a role where accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement are valued, and you enjoy working in a technical laboratory setting, we’d love to hear from you.</p>
