Cedar Hope Care Services Ltd has a number of provisions in the Reading area, providing a range of support. We support clients who present a wide range of needs and challenges .<br><br>Role description:<br>This role is with Cedar Hope Care Services Ltd , supporting young people and adults in the community and in our registered service s . The young people and adults needs vary and can include learning disabilities, autism , mental health , challenging behaviour and other needs.?<br>The Role involves shift work patterns which are as follows:<br>8.00 am - 2.00pm<br>8.00am - 3.00pm .<br>8.00am - 8.00pm .<br>2.00 pm - 8.00pm<br>3.00pm - 8.00pm<br>8.00 pm - 8.00am - waking night<br>2.00pm - 11.00pm - sleep in<br>3.00pm - 11.00pm - sleep in<br><br>Duties will include:<br>Assist in carrying out individual programmes of care?<br><br>Assist with the day-to-day individual care needs of the service user, including personal and intimate care, personal hygiene?<br><br>Assist in providing constructive activities taking into account the particular needs of the person?<br><br>To provide support to maximise the service users independence?<br><br>To ensure the maintenance of high standards of nutrition, health, safety, cleanliness and personal hygiene?<br><br>To provide support and opportunities for the service user to develop contact with people outside the service?<br><br>To dispense and record medication?<br><br>To work in a way that treats everyone equally and fairly, whilst promoting service users rights and dignity at all times .?<br><br>To assist service users to plan holidays and support them if needed.?<br><br>To support service users in conjunction with the local authority safeguarding policy.?<br><br>To support service users in positive risk taking.?<br><br>Person specification:<br>Ability to travel effectively to different locations , driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential?<br><br>Satisfactory clearance of an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS, formerly CRB)<br><br>Proof of right to work in the UK?<br><br>Ability to demonstrate awareness/ understanding of equal opportunities and other peoples behaviour, physical, social and welfare needs?<br><br>Good report writing?<br><br>Good English language skills?<br><br>Demonstrate professionalism?<br><br>Ability to travel effectively to different locations , driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential?<br><br>Flexibility- You must be willing to work evenings and weekends?<br><br>Previous experience in a similar role?<br><br>These principal responsibilities are not an exhaustive list of duties, only a general guide to the post. xwzovoh In consultation with the post holder, the duties may change from time to time to reflect the changing needs of the service.?<br>Note this post is exempt from The?Rehabilitation of Offenders Act?1974 (c.53) as it involves contact with children and vulnerable adults.
