This role is ideal for qualified teachers who enjoy variety, flexibility, and making a positive difference in young people’s education.</p><p>The Role</p><p>As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will step into classrooms confidently, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the usual class teacher. You will uphold high standards of teaching, behaviour, and professionalism at all times.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>In the Classroom</p><ul><li>Deliver pre-set lessons effectively across your subject specialism and/or general cover</li><li>Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment</li><li>Manage classroom behaviour in line with each school’s behaviour policy</li><li>Ensure students remain focused, safe, and on task</li><li>Adapt quickly to different school settings, routines, and expectations</li><li>Accurately record attendance and complete any required lesson feedback</li><li>Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times</li></ul><p>Wider School Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism and integrity</li><li>Communicate effectively with teaching staff, cover managers, and senior leaders</li><li>Supervise students during duties such as transitions, break, and lunch if required</li><li>Respect confidentiality and data protection standards</li><li>Follow health and safety protocols within the school environment</li></ul><p>Expectations of Our Supply Teachers</p><p>We expect all supply staff to uphold the highest standards of professionalism both in and out of the classroom, including:</p><ul><li>Consistent punctuality, reliability, and preparedness</li><li>Appropriate professional dress and conduct</li><li>Strong behaviour management and classroom presence</li><li>Flexibility and a positive attitude towards varied xwzovoh school settings</li><li>Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare</li><li>Respect for school policies, staff, and students</li><li>Clear communication and accurate reporting following each assignment</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification</li><li>Recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools</li><li>Strong classroom management skills</li><li>Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)</li><li>Eligibility to work in the UK</li></ul><p>If you are a dedicated Secondary Teacher looking to make a positive impact while maintaining flexibility, we would love to hear from you.</p><p>Apply today to join our supply team across Hampshire’s secondary schools.</p>
