If you're passionate about student development, ready to join a team that prioritises a positive, caring ethos and collective teamwork this is the role for you.</p><p>Benefits</p><ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience and qualification.</li><li>Comprehensive professional development and training opportunities, including specialist SEN interventions and strategies.</li><li>Dedicated Randstad consultant support for career guidance and opportunities.</li><li>Long term placements available (6 weeks plus).</li></ul><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead a class or small group using a primary-style delivery model, adapting your teaching to meet the specific developmental levels of each pupil.</li><li>Create and implement lesson plans that focus on social and life skills, preparing students for a successful transition into adulthood.</li><li>Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic support, ensuring that Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets are met.</li><li>Manage a classroom support team of Teaching Assistants, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.</li><li>Utilise the school's 6th Form Hub resources and student-led businesses to provide practical, community-based learning opportunities.</li><li>Design adapted curriculum content that encourages curiosity and creative expression for learners with complex needs.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of student progress, ensuring all safeguarding and reporting requirements are strictly followed.</li><li>Promote independence by teaching students how to navigate their local communities and develop vocational skills.</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD).</li><li>A valid Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one through Randstad.</li><li>A proven ability to lead a classroom and manage support staff effectively within a specialist setting.</li><li>Knowledge of the 11-19 curriculum with a focus on life skills and vocational pathways.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to liaise with parents, carers, and external healthcare professionals.</li><li>A patient and resilient approach, with a commitment to the "do your best" ethos of the school.</li><li>Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or other alternative communication methods is highly desirable.</li><li>Full right to work in the UK.</li></ul><p>Next Steps</p><p>This is a full-time, long-term opportunity in Bolton for a practitioner with the relevant experience to support pupils with complex needs. xwzovoh To discuss the role further or to submit your application, please use the contact details provided below.</p><p>Contact Information:</p><p>Phone:</p><p>Email:</p>
