Sous Chef - Food-Led Gastro Pub<br><br>Be one of the first applicants, read the complete overview of the role below, then send your application for consideration.<br>Salary £36,000-£40,000 + £10K Tronc<br>48 Hours per week<br>Wednesday to Sunday<br>Location: Rural Hungerford Area (Must Drive)<br>We are working with a well-established, food-led gastro pub in Wiltshire that is looking to appoint a talented Sous Chef to join its kitchen team.<br>This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef who enjoys cooking high-quality dishes from scratch in a fresh food environment.<br>The Role:<br>As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently high standards.<br>You will also take full responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, including during holidays.<br>Key Responsibilities:<br>Supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations<br>Leading the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence<br>Preparing and delivering fresh, high-quality dishes from scratch<br>Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards<br>Assisting with menu development and seasonal changes<br>Training and motivating junior team members<br>What We're Looking For:<br>Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a food-led gastro pub or similar environment<br>Passion for fresh, seasonal cooking and attention to detail<br>Strong leadership and organisational skills<br>Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards<br>A team player with a positive attitude<br>Working Hours & Benefits:<br>48-hour contract<br>Wednesday to Sunday working pattern<br>3 double shifts and 2 early finishes per week<br>One early finish on Sundays (approx. 5-6pm)<br>Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 DOE<br>Approx. xwzovoh £10,000 per year in tronc<br>Opportunity to work in a supportive and professional kitchen environment<br>This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef looking to step into a strong, stable kitchen with a real focus on quality food and work-life balance.<br><br>To apply or find out more, please get in touch with Mark Purton at Host Staffing .
