<p>Job Description</p><br>Read on to fully understand what this job requires in terms of skills and experience If you are a good match, make an application.<br><p>Site Engineer</p><p>Location: Peterborough</p><p>About the Role</p><p>We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our service team in Peterborough, responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of materials handling and ancillary equipment. This is a varied, customer-facing role where you'll be a key technical representative on site, ensuring equipment reliability and excellent service delivery. You'll also support the Area Service Manager, acting as a first point of contact for defined support activities within the service team and helping to maintain strong customer relationships.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Carry out preventative maintenance on materials handling and ancillary equipment</li><li>Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely</li><li>Accurately complete service reports and timesheets</li><li>Manage and control parts stock on site</li><li>Build effective customer relationships through clear communication, ensuring expectations are met in line with contractual agreements</li><li>Liaise closely with the After Sales Office to provide customers with accurate repair updates and ETAs</li><li>Identify and communicate chargeable follow-up work, completing it in a timely manner</li><li>Ensure all company and customer health & safety procedures are strictly followed</li><li>Identify and pass on sales leads for Jungheinrich equipment and After Sales products</li><li>Act as a Company Ambassador at all times</li></ul><p>You may occasionally be required to participate in call-out duties and work outside normal hours, as directed by the Area Service Manager. xwzovoh </p><p>About You</p><p>We're keen to hear from mechanically and/or electrically biased engineers from a wide range of maintenance or service backgrounds, including:</p><ul><li>Automotive Technicians</li><li>HGV Engineers</li><li>Mobile Plant Engineers</li><li>Forklift Engineers</li><li>Ex-Forces / Military Vehicle Engineers</li></ul><p>You will also have:</p><ul><li>A full UK driving licence</li><li>A good general level of education</li><li>Experience in a customer-facing role</li><li>The ability to work independently and unsupervised</li><li>A proactive, professional approach with strong problem-solving skills</li></ul><p>Guidant, Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.</p>
